How you’ll make an impact
We are hiring a Software Engineer IV, Back End with strong Ruby on Rails experience to support our network of clients &amp; providers. As a Software Engineer IV, you will be able to make an immediate impact on design and implementation decisions with the team. You will drive and participate in design sessions as well as constantly evaluate technologies and trends to be leveraged to optimize our platform. You will join a motivated team that encourages healthy debate, but ascribe to a disagree, but commit attitude once we make a decision.
Success looks like

<li>Within three weeks, independently deploy new code to staging</li>
<li>Within six weeks, independently promote code from staging to production</li>
<li>Within 90 days, have a full understanding of system architecture and dev-ops processes. Be well-versed enough to step in as a primary system administrator, if ever necessary</li>

Position:
The Hospital Charge Audit Nurse Auditor RN&nbsp;will perform remote and onsite hospital charge audits&nbsp;of both inpatient and outpatient hospital claims as assigned. Audits are conducted as a medical record review of all billed charges to identify over, under and late charges; as well as ensure provider reimbursement is within client guidelines and policies. These are not DRG or medical necessity audits.

Core Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform remote and onsite hospital bill charge audits as assigned while meeting department quality expectations</li>
<li>Manage case inventory to ensure timely scheduling of remote and onsite audits while maintaining weekly productivity goals</li>
<li>Ability to assess case details and provide input into audit potential of facilities &amp; cases</li>
<li>Effectively interact and communicate with teammates &amp; providers regarding all steps of the audit process. Some interaction with clients may occasionally be required as well.</li>
<li>Utilize nursing knowledge in conjunction with interpretation of the medical record to identify discrepancies in billed charges</li>

<h3>Summary of This Role</h3>
Responsible for research and resolution of customer charge backs. Requires detailed transaction research, analytical skills, and documentation of actions taken including phone calls to merchants, cardholders, and others as appropriate. Applies bank and card industry regulations and practices in resolving disputes. May also compile aggregate statistics on charge backs for use by the company in identifying patterns and improving overall customer service.
<h3>What Part Will You Play?</h3>

<li>Develops and applies the basic skills appropriate to research, process, and resolve chargeback/reversal requests for 3 or more dispute reason codes specific to 1 of the supported card brands, by utilizing established processes in a multi-client/system environment and adhering to association regulations. Gathers and analyzes cardholder and/or merchant account transactions to determine if the disputed transactions are covered under federal regulations, organizes supporting information, and applies appropriate credit/debit adjustments to accounts based on the final result of arbitration.</li>
<li>Works basic assignments from work queues as directed. Assists with the segmentation of pending requests from various work queues into the appropriate work flow based on request type and complexity.</li>
<li>Begins to develop an intermediate knowledge, pertaining to a single card brand (i.e. Visa/MasterCard/Discover/Amex), and federal regulations governing credit card chargebacks and reversals through training, online research of regulations, and adhering to department processes and procedures.</li>
