About the role
Curated is seeking a Video Editor to edit videos hosted by our Winter Sports experts.
As an Editor, you will create engaging content that resonates with our audiences across platforms. Your focus will primarily be on branded content for our Youtube channel and product pages, with occasional short-form, and vertical video initiatives. You will optimize the viewers’ experience of every video (storyline, composition, shot selection, music, pacing, transitions), while following story structure and script guides.
What you’ll do
<ul>
<li>Edit short-form branded video content from start to finish</li>
<li>Collaborate with Coordinators, Associate Producers, Creative Strategists, and others</li>
<li>Incorporate team notes from Frame.io and implement video changes daily</li>
<li>Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met</li>
<li>Implement motion graphics templates in edits</li>
<li>Backup media projects to hard drives and creative cloud shared projects</li>
<li>Quality check final versions of video before exporting and publishing</li>
<li>Provide updates on the status of projects in slack and on Monday.com daily</li>
<li>Make the most of existing footage and solve audio and visual issues as needed</li>
<li>Color correct raw footage from a range of DSLR cameras</li>

About you

<li>Organized, adaptable team player, who’s able to shift gears and impact different projects throughout the day</li>
<li>Effective communicator, especially regarding project scope, setbacks, deliverables, and timelines</li>
<li>Comfortable choosing the best video selects and appropriate music selects (with some initial guidance)</li>
<li>Meticulous attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to take ownership of projects, solicit feedback, make adjustments as needed</li>
<li>Knowledge of devices, frame rates, codecs, file formats, and cameras (DSLR)</li>
<li>Energy, drive, passion, and enthusiasm to do and approach things with a sense of urgency</li>
<li>Understanding of media storage, organization, and management practices relative to software, cloud, and hard drives</li>
<li>Able to solve visual, audio, and technical footage issues as they arise (self-sufficient), but not afraid to ask questions or seek help when needed</li>
<li>Passionate for creative: You LOVE video</li>

Your qualifications
<ul>
<li>4+ Years of professional video editing experience. In-house agency, brand, performance marketing, online media, production or post-production company experience preferred</li>
<li>Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder experience is a must</li>
<li>Experience with large video pipelines, and dealing with DSLR and other similar footage types</li>
<li>Understanding of Youtube</li>
<li>Preferred but not required: Interest or experience with Skiing, Snowboarding, Golf, Fishing, Cycling, Tennis, Camping, or other outdoor sports!</li>
</ul>
Role logistics
<ul>
<li>This is a temporary full-time position (40 hours per week). Company benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K, etc) will not be offered. Please note this position requires use of your personal laptop.</li>
<li>Pay rate: $50-60 per hour, depending on experience</li>
<li>The position is fully remote, but is required to work roughly during US-Pacific working hours.</li>
<li>We’re looking for someone who start quickly and will be available full-time until at least December 15.</li>

About this role
As a Copywriter at Curated, you will be responsible for crafting brand-conscious, conversion-driven copy seen by millions of people every day across our owned properties and campaigns. You’ll play an integral role on our mission to humanize online shopping by building trust with our audiences and helping them make the right purchase decisions guided by real experts.
Strategy is a key part of this role. We’re looking for someone who can not only come up with creative ideas, but own them and ensure they come to life through copy across all brand touch points (including paid media, CRM, social media, PR etc.) – in a way that sounds like Curated.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to feel energized by and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment. You can turn around edits quickly, but work with the care required to build a lasting brand. You are confident, but not afraid to learn from feedback. You get to know our users intimately and know how to channel their desires to drive engagement. You’re versatile in your tone, adapting it on the fly for diverse audiences, while maintaining a consistent Curated brand voice.
Your responsibilities include
<ul>
<li>Coming up with creative ideas in response to briefs and understanding how key brand messages and business directives can be worked into briefs in a creative way</li>
<li>Developing strong empathy for and understanding of our audiences and their motivations, using data and market research to come up with new copy angles to test</li>
<li>Working with Brand and Performance Marketing Teams to write copy that helps deliver the best Curated experience for users across all touchpoints (product &amp; campaigns)</li>
<li>Creating multiple copy options for testing to improve engagement, consistently monitoring performance and finding ways to improve conversion rates</li>
<li>Knowing which levers to pull if copy is underperforming</li>
<li>Creating repeatable processes to write high converting copy as we launch many new product verticals &amp; channels</li>
<li>Continuously developing and acting as guardian of the brand’s TOV across business departments including People Team, Community Support, PR</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>4+ years of experience writing marketing copy for an agency or brand</li>
<li>Experience writing for ad platforms including Facebook, Google ads, YouTube, and email</li>
<li>Exceptional attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Some previous experience with content/creative strategy and complex multi-channel rollouts is desirable</li>
</ul>
