Life Insurance Product Intelligence Consultant
(Charlotte – Hybrid or Fully Remote)

Where you’ll work: 
Our hybrid workplace model offers the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. This is a remote position with a hybrid option for candidates based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
How you’ll contribute: 
As a Life Product Intelligence Consultant, you’ll be responsible for conducting life product competitive intelligence and pricing analysis. This role reports to the Manager of Life Product and Market Intelligence. This position will take a lead role in monitoring and analyzing the life competitive environment. In addition, this role will engage with our distribution partners to help position Brighthouse Financial life products against the competitive marketplace.
In this role, you’ll get to:
<ul>
<li>Serve as a life product competitive expert, possessing a strong understanding of the industry including competitor life products as well as the Brighthouse Financial life product portfolio and its competitive position in the market</li>
<li>Maintains benchmarking of conventional pricing metrics of competitor products and features and translates benchmarking into compelling product position content</li>
<li>Building templates and presentations to assist in communicating key products concepts and design to stakeholders and leadership</li>
<li>Summarize quarterly industry sales/trends and competitor movement relative to the life business</li>
<li>Present to both internal and external audiences on position of the Brighthouse Financial life insurance portfolio</li>
<li>Work with select external customers on specific cases to best position Brighthouse Financial life products</li>
<li>Create, maintain, and update portals and databases that contain key competitive intelligence documents</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes in an effort to increase efficiency</li>
<li>Establish working relationships and rapport across various internal departments and support areas including product development, marketing, compliance, and distribution</li>

</ul>
We’re looking for people who have:

<li>2 to 5 years of life insurance industry experience</li>
<li>Knowledge of life insurance products</li>
<li>Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PPT, and general technical skills</li>
<li>Effective oral and written communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment</li>
<li>Must be comfortable working on a dynamic team with shifting responsibilities</li>

We have an exciting opportunity available on our team for an experienced&nbsp;Insurance Accounts Receivable Collector&nbsp;in our Central Billing Office (CBO) located in Nashville, TN. The&nbsp;Insurance A/R Collector&nbsp;on our team is responsible for maintaining ambulatory surgery center (ASC) medical and billing records, ensuring coding and operations compliance.
This is a remote position, allowing the Insurance Accounts Receivable Collector position to be based anywhere in the country. Candidate must be wiling to work a Central Time Zone schedule Monday – Friday.
Quarterly Bonuses are available for all eligible Insurance A/R Collector&nbsp;associates! To qualify, you need to meet performance and production metrics and achieve collection goals, with incentives that range based on production.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN INSURANCE A/R COLLECTOR:
<ul>
<li>Follow-up on open balances listed on monthly AR and Payer Follow-up reports.</li>
<li>Review and update patient demographics and payer information as necessary for completion of claims payment.</li>
<li>Transfer balances and print claims.</li>
<li>Generate correspondence to payers such as appeals and payments.</li>
<li>Promptly identify any errors or other issues in claims processing.</li>
<li>Effectively follow up on any unpaid balances, bringing any remaining balance to prompt resolution.</li>
<li>Meet quality assurance and productivity standards by identifying and reconciling insurance balance accounts.</li>
<li>Review explanations of benefits details on denials.</li>
<li>Communicate with insurance payer representatives, patients, and center staff to ensure timely and accurate resolution of account transactions.</li>
<li>Prioritize assigned accounts to maximize aged accounts receivable resolution.</li>
<li>Review explanation of benefit (EOB) documentation and notate accounts on collection activity to perform account resolution.</li>
<li>Receive inbound patient calls regarding financial responsibility.</li>
<li>Regular and reliable attendance required.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Education/Experience:</h3>
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).</li>
<li>2+ years’ experience as an&nbsp;Insurance Accounts Receivable Collector&nbsp;in the healthcare industry.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of the revenue cycle process and how it relates to payers and patients.</li>
<li>Able to review claims with an understanding of the denial process and what is required to work a denial to obtain payment for the center.</li>
<li>Able to prioritize and work independently, and work and complete projects within a reasonable time frame.</li>
<li>Able to read and explain an insurance EOB.</li>
<li>Confidently able to work with Microsoft Excel and Outlook</li>
<li>Experience with 10-key.</li>

Description
The Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative provides timely, accurate and responsive information and service to policyholders and agents for a division of Personal Lines products, plans and programs. Independently solve problems relating to policies within scope and escalate others as appropriate. Identifies, analyzes, and owns customer policy needs to ensure high customer satisfaction, growth and retention of business.
Paid Training: Mandatory attendance is critical to your success and as such is required for the duration of training and performance will be continually assessed throughout. The paid training is Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:00 am -7:30pm EST (40 hours per week) for 12 weeks.
After training and onboarding is completed, go-forward shifts will be between the hours of 1:30pm-10pm EST. One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) will be required with an alternate day off mid-week. Shifts may be subject to change in the future based on business needs to a shift of 11:30am – 8pm EST.
Once training is complete for the Customer Service Rep (CSR) role within the Customer Response Center (CRC), you will be aligned to our Expanded Call Group, which are can include some complex calls. As time progresses and you gain experience, you will be expected to move into more complex call groups. As you progress through the different call groups, you will be eligible for promotional increases.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provides exceptional customer service by responding promptly to all inbound customer calls regarding personal lines policies, limited by line.</li>
<li>Builds rapport with each customer.</li>
<li>Listens to customers’ requests and inquiries.</li>
