Paralegal 
American Public Education, Inc.
The&nbsp;Paralegal&nbsp;is responsible for providing assistance and support for the Legal Affairs team including Associate General Counsel, compliance, licensing, and general legal including contract management and review. The Paralegal reports to Vice President and Associate General Counsel. This position has no direct reports.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Research and analysis of state laws and requirements of higher education regulators, including boards of nursing and other agencies</li>
<li>Gathering and interpreting information to complete filings for company, institutional and programmatic approvals and renewals, as required for compliance with state laws</li>
<li>Maintaining an appropriate level of communication and escalation of issues to superiors while acting independently on assigned projects</li>
<li>Create and manage practicum site agreements and memorandums of understanding by utilizing appropriate contract management software</li>
<li>Daily management of contracts inbox and data input into contract management software</li>
<li>Assist Associate General Counsel and legal team in the proper management of business and educational contracts from creation to completion</li>
<li>Work with insurance company to properly request and collect certificates of insurance</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned and required</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Ability to conduct thorough regulatory research and accurate analysis, especially of complex statutes and administrative rules</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to represent the organization in professional manner in external communications</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented, organized, able to multi-task, and keep thorough, accurate records</li>
<li>Self-motivated, able to work independently to see projects through from start to completion, and to meet firm deadlines</li>
<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to pivot quickly</li>
<li>Trustworthiness and ability to maintain confidentiality</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Adobe (PDF)</li>
<li>Associate’s degree in paralegal studies</li>

Position Objectives:
<ul>
<li>To generate media coverage of PETA’s campaigns</li>
<li>To coordinate outreach and correspondence with media representatives</li>
</ul>
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
<ul>
<li>Prepare and service news releases and generate press coverage for PETA campaigns, specializing in celebrity, influencer, sports, and Animals in Film and Television (AFTV)-related media pitches</li>
<li>Monitor and become an expert in sports, celebrity, and entertainment media and brainstorm ideas for potential campaigns and press opportunities</li>
<li>Develop new pitch ideas and ways to revamp news releases and pitches in order to increase media coverage of PETA campaigns</li>
<li>Help develop and maintain targeted media lists</li>
<li>Cultivate relationships with members of the media</li>
<li>Represent the organization to the media, attending meetings and events as needed</li>
<li>Monitor email and voicemail afterhours and, as-needed, manage rush media requests</li>
<li>Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor</li>

Requirements

The salary range for this position is $44,200 – $66,354.79 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.

About the Team:
The Arcological Association oversees the regenerative growth of PLN projects building out the public good and network goods teams.
The Association works as a decentralized funding vehicle for common/public good funders with the immediate step of building out efficient legal and operational infrastructure via a Swiss Association. Operational overhead support will remove a barrier to allow for high impact/highly optimized allocation of funding to move quickly to projects who are working on public goods. Funders can act independently within their thesis, with a long term/end state goal of developing mini-funds to decentralize grant allocations to public goods.
About the Role:
We are looking for a COO of Arcological to partner with the CEO to build out and oversee the operations side of the house (legal, finance, IT, etc.) and ultimately scale the reach of Protocol Labs Infrastructure and ultimately, the growth of web 3.0
As COO of Arcological, you will…
<ul>
<li>Build and oversee the build out and supporting teams of the group, including legal, finance, IT, company structure, etc.</li>
<li>Partner with the CEO to drive goal setting, OKRs, and develop systems to track and analyze metrics for each of the different teams and efforts</li>
<li>Work with multi-stakeholders to expand the reach of core Protocol Labs infrastructure (e.g. IPFS, libp2p, Filecoin) – collaborating closely with Network Goods, Research and Funding teams.</li>
<li>Oversee the team’s day-to-day operation and ensure consistent, rapid, and effective execution according to the defined vision and strategy</li>
<li>Drive alignment from key internal stakeholders to support strategic decisions</li>
<li>Manage projects operational structures from conception through successful execution, collaborating with cross-functional internal team members</li>
</ul>
