What we need…
This is an entry level position responsible for processing all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service. Associate must at all times safeguard and protect the patient’s right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request, authorization, company policy and HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do…

<li>Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with Company and Facility policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality and security with all privileged information.</li>
<li>Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software.</li>
<li>Adhere to the Company’s and Customer facilities Code of Conduct and policies.</li>
<li>Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and/or fluctuating volumes.</li>
<li>Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as evident or required.</li>
<li>Consistent application of medical privacy regulations to guard against unauthorized disclosure.</li>
<li>Responsible for managing patient health records.</li>
<li>Responsible for safeguarding patient records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.</li>
<li>Prepares new patient charts, gathering documents and information from paper sources and/or electronic health record.</li>
<li>Ensures medical records are assembled in standard order and are accurate and complete.</li>
<li>Creates digital images of paperwork to be stored in the electronic medical record.</li>
<li>Responds to requests for patient records, both within the facility and by external sources, retrieving them and transmitting them appropriately.</li>
<li>Answering of inbound/outbound calls.</li>
<li>May assist with patient walk-ins.</li>
<li>May assist with administrative duties such as handling faxes, opening mail, and data entry.</li>
<li>Must meet productivity expectations as outlined at specific site.</li>
<li>May schedules pick-ups.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>

Working conditions &amp; physical demands
Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment. Incumbent must be able to lift 20 lbs., perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day, and function in an environment with constant interruptions. As an experienced Medical Records Coordinator reporting to our Medical Records Manager you will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism, and collaboration.
This role is a full time position and the hours are 7:30am-4pm Central Time.
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Provides efficient and timely release of medical records and efficiently processes incoming medical records</li>
<li>Compiles, processes, and maintains medical records of patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system</li>
<li>Protects the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained</li>
<li>Releases information to persons and agencies according to regulations</li>
<li>Retrieves medical records and critical information from referring provider(s) prior to patient consults</li>
<li>Ensures that all necessary laboratory, imaging test results, and medical records are obtained</li>
<li>Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures associated with safety, sanitation, confidentiality, and company operations</li>
<li>And other responsibilities and ad-hoc projects from time to time, based on business needs.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Who You Are</h3>

<li>Patient or customer service experience</li>
<li>Undergraduate degree from an accredited institute strongly preferred</li>
<li>Experience in a medical office setting is preferred</li>

Position Summary
The Student Records Specialist is responsible for daily activities related to the Office of the Registrar and the student records team. This position’s primary responsibilities include maintaining student records, providing customer service to students and internal constituencies as well as supporting the success of the Enrollment and Student Services teams. This position is also responsible for maintaining record integrity, upholding FERPA policy and compliance within administrative policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:

<li>Provides customer service to internal and external clients and customers</li>
<li>Responds to student inquiries via Northcentral messaging system, email, and/or phone, and journals all communication</li>
<li>Provides official student record documentation via forms, letters, transcripts, and other communications</li>
<li>Reviews, audits, and prepares degree audit and diploma order</li>
<li>Performs general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and filing</li>
<li>Establishes and maintains academic files within the student information system</li>
<li>Ensures record integrity of student files by ensuring proper documentation and authorization to fulfill requests</li>
<li>Ensures that the electronic file as well as the student information system are in alignment and accurate</li>
<li>Serves as liaison for projects and cross-functional department needs</li>
<li>Processes workflow and tasks with accuracy and speed</li>
<li>Assists in preparing and maintaining training information and documents policies/procedures in Sharepoint for Registrar team</li>
