Senior Responsible Sourcing Specialist

We are now looking for a Senior Responsible Sourcing Specialist, based in the United States or Canada, to join our Projects and Solutions team.
The Senior Responsible Sourcing Specialist (SRSS) will lead in the development of the US and Canada region in relation to Preferred by Nature’s sustainability advisory services. With support from other divisions and the divisional management team, these responsibilities will include developing a marketing strategy, sales, service delivery and staff development. The staff member will be part of the Tailored Services unit delivering services to clients.
What you will do
As a Senior Responsible Sourcing Specialist, your main tasks will be to develop service proposals, design work plans and provide advisory services to a portfolio of clients in the timber, palm oil, textiles, soy, beef and other natural resource sectors. This role will support commercial clients on their sustainability journey by benchmarking policies to best practices, conducting gap analyses of company due diligence systems, developing traceability standards and audit protocols, and providing third-party verification services.
This position will also be responsible for:

<li>Leading the development of advisory services within the US and Canada</li>
<li>Developing compelling service proposals to existing and/or prospective clients</li>
<li>Delivering advisory services to a portfolio of clients in different industries and sectors to support them in their goals to meet sustainability commitments</li>
<li>Managing multiple project scopes, budgets and work plans to ensure quality, timeliness and financial oversight in relation to the execution of client services</li>
</ul>
Who you are
<ul>
<li>You have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years professional experience, or 4 years’ experience with an advanced degree in forestry, sustainability, environmental management and or comparable relevant experience</li>
<li>You have a strong understanding of corporate sustainability and the issues facing the leaders in this space, especially land, biodiversity and climate</li>
<li>You have specialist expertise and experience in ESG policy development and implementation, risk-based approaches to sustainability or legal sourcing, and/or corporate climate action</li>
<li>You have a proven track record of success working with business in a client/customer-facing position</li>
<li>Well-developed interpersonal skills for high-level interaction with current and prospective Preferred by Nature clients</li>
<li>You have exceptional project management skills and experience managing multiple disparate projects simultaneously</li>
<li>You are well organised and able to maintain structure in your work. You are also comfortable making independent decisions, as the nature of the job requires you to work independently and remotely from your colleagues</li>
<li>You have an entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative</li>
<li>You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage</li>

Our Project Services team is booming with business, and we need your help! Our Sourcing Coordinators are tasked with leveraging relationships with our hotel suppliers to source, negotiate, and contract group booking requests and large-scale projects for Hotel Engine clients. In addition, Sourcing Coordinators collaborate with Project Services Account Managers and Account Managers to ensure the best hotel options are provided to fit the client’s exact needs. If you are self-motivated, tech savvy and thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, this role is for you!
Here’s what you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Work closely with Project Services Account Managers on their client’s hotel booking requests by researching destinations, rates, and other criteria to successfully pair clients with the perfect hotel for their budget, location, and specific needs in a timely manner</li>
<li>Foster positive and long-lasting relationships with Hotel Engine internal stakeholders and hotel partners</li>
<li>Accurately source and book projects utilizing Hotel Engine’s internal database and CRM (Salesforce)</li>
<li>Own a portfolio of group bookings in both the sourcing and contracting phases of the project’s lifecycle ensuring ideal options are provided to the client with minimal turnaround time</li>
<li>Assist in various projects, other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein to support the Project Services Account Managers and the Project Services Team as requested</li>
<li>Provide support and creative solutions as the Project Services Team continues to iterate our processes and scale for growth</li>

Cash compensation:

<li>Translating the search (together with the Apollo consultant) into sourcing strategies. This includes listing relevant current positions and other background elements and listing potential donor companies. Review profiles of people in similar roles at similar companies to further inform sourcing strategies</li>
<li>Thorough research based on the sourcing strategies with LinkedIn software. Going through lists of potential candidates. Select relevant profiles, disregard non relevant profiles</li>
<li>&nbsp;Flag and discuss questionable profiles with the Apollo consultant. Gain direct feedback on both the effectiveness of the search strategies and the selected profiles</li>
<li>Create ideas for and suggest new search strategies to the Apollo consultant where needed</li>
<li>Put things in motion so the Apollo consultant has everything needed to approach relevant candidates</li>

<li>Long term knowledge development (10-20%):</li>
