OPPORTUNITY:
The Technology Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring the efficiency of systems to meet project deliverables, and preventing delays in operations. The Technology Coordinator will mainly provide helpdesk support to our staff and volunteer network and assist in the creation of tech policies and processes for the organization. The Technology Coordinator will also support Technology Department tasks and projects, like user migrations or setting up new services. We’re ideally seeking an individual with a skillset of Help Desk Level II or comparable experience.
This is a hybrid position. The Technology Coordinator will work remotely, but must be able to access our office in San Clemente, CA as-needed.

DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Assist administering Google Workspace, including account creation, recovery, and migrations.</li>
<li>Provide various tech assistance to staff and the chapter network as needed, identifying and troubleshooting common computer and networking issues</li>
<li>Provisioning new computers for staff: Configuring laptop accounts, log-ins, programs installation and more</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining inventory of hardware and depreciation of assets, providing new equipment and upgrades as needed</li>
<li>Troubleshooting: Mac OS configuration, network settings</li>
<li>Case/Ticket Management – Salesforce Service Cloud</li>
<li>Interfacing with staff and volunteers by email and by phone.</li>

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The Surfrider Foundation offers a salary that is competitive with other national, not-for-profit conservation organizations.
The salary range for this position starts at $70,000.

<li style="font-weight: 400">At least 2 years in a community manager, community coordinator or equivalent role.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Experience coordinating or managing a community in the tech, digital or data space, or working to support software developers, data scientists or other similar roles.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Excellent communication and written and verbal English. Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Motivated to increase your knowledge of technology and digital advocacy practices</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Creating clear documentation and content, which communicates effectively to the target audience.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Comfortable and familiar with remote work across many time zones.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Largely self-managed / self-starter.</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Highly organised, able to keep track of multiple tasks and information sources, and find ways to usefully and effectively organise these things</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400">Demonstrated experience in facilitating meetings and/or workshops.</li>

<h3>Working conditions</h3>
The Community Coordinator is expected to be available to host and participate in online and in person spaces across multiple time zones.
<h3>Physical requirements</h3>
Requires physical presence for events including the physical on-ground management and organising of conference and summit spaces.
